The Central London YMCA Sub-Aqua Club (you can see why it was renamed YDIVE) is celebrating its 30th birthday this year. Plans are being put in place for a Sunday Lunch in London on October 12th with as many of the previous branch members as can be traced.

In 1978 Tony Davenport approached the BSAC to start an underwater swimming club at the YMCA, thus the 1028 Special Branch was born.
Documentation is sparse, until 1982, when the Queen came to visit the YMCA and watched a demonstration in the pool. Steve Waring, Tim Mo and Corrine Pearlman were there, but as yet we have found no photos!
If you're a previous member of this branch, then please get in touch! We would love to see you at the meal - remember to bring any photos and stories!
